about The LOFT55 Owners Club
Ever since the first LOFT55 garment was handed over in 2018 to Daniel Buckfield in Brighton people have without prompting sent pictures from all over in their attire. This was quite by surprise so eventually I came up with the idea of The LOFT55 Owners Club.
However, things go a little deeper than just pictures and in time it’s become quite clear that when someone spots The LOFT55 stamp out in public it connects people. Either with a wink of acknowledgement or a simple greeting, LOFT55 continues to bring people together which is exactly the purpose behind every item of clothing.
In giving the community around LOFT55 its name, I continue the time-honoured tradition of connection and acknowledgement first encountered through my late father Bernard James Back when I was a pre-teen in the 1970s. He introduced me to The MG Owners Club. Back then they flashed their headlights when they saw another driver in one of the cars. It’s stuck with me all these years later. Thanks Dad.
