A few pictures capturing the good spirit that came along thanks to everyone who attended the first Loft55 General Purpose Store at Shortts last Saturday for a day of retail, music, art, food and general getting togetherness in a pop up shop. Back again each Saturday with more clothing, djs, art and African Curry (exceptionally good) up The Upper Eastern Quarter on St James's Street it would seem.
This coming Saturday my old mate and dj partner Affy Go Bang is most definitely in the house doing his thing which you wont want to miss. A big shout to Tom Vine aka Chewy Rubs who's set the instore music standard very high after week one (top skills fella) And ofcourse Mick for facilitating the space (nice one, we got this) and his crew behind the bar who helped the day go smoothly.
See everyone next Saturday out on the road with my store and all it represents.
And before I sign off I've just remembered something really cool. If you see the chap with the records, he popped into Billy's record shop for the first time which he never knew about. It's not just what we're doing at Shortts but also the first signs of a ripple effect up on St James's Street from the hub we're putting together perhaps.
